Suhrawadi Shuvo born 21 November 1988 is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox spin bowler.Suhrawadi Shuvo is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler, like his favorite bowler Daniel Vettori, who began playing cricket in 1999 and impressed for Rajshahi Division when he made his first-class debut in 2004-05. He was part of Bangladesh’s Under-19 World Cup squad in 2006 and took nine wickets in six matches in Sri Lanka at an average of only 14.44. He went on to lead Bangladesh’s U-19 World Cup campaign in 2008, and was handed his ODI debut in the second match against England at Mirpur in February 2010.

His first major contribution was during New Zealand’s tour to Bangladesh in 2010. He set the trend in the first match when he picked up 3/14 in 10 overs. He backed up the other bowlers admirably by building pressure from one end. In the four matches that they played, Shuvo picked up five wickets at an average of 18 with a brilliant economy rate of 3.21. His backup efforts yielded rich results as Bangladesh swept aside New Zealand 4-0 to achieve history.

Suhrawadi Shuvo continued to be economical but lacked penetration. He played only one match in the 2011 World Cup against Netherlands where he picked up 1/33 in 10 economical overs. However, he did not play a part in the remainder of the tournament as Bangladesh crashed out in the first round. He was given a reality check against the Australians when they spanked him all over the park in the ODI series that concluded after the World Cup. He was given his maiden Test cap against West Indies in 2011, even though Shuvo had a decent outing by picking up 4 wickets, he could not prevent his team from losing the match. That was the only Test he played and has not been in the team for almost three years now.

In the 2016-17 first-class season, Shuvo produced a match-winning spell of 7 for 45 which helped his side defeat the local favorites – Sylhet by a narrow margin of 56 runs. His stocks continued to rise and Chittagong Kings signed him from the BPL draft 2017.
