Aminul Islam Biplob (born 6 November 1999) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his international debut for the Bangladesh cricket team in September 2019. Aminul Islam Biplob made his international debut during the T20I tri-series at home in September 2019. With the selectors and management looking to develop a wrist-spinner culture, it was evident that players like Aminul would get a call-up, especially for the shortest formats. Short in stature but with a big heart, he hasn’t had impressive numbers in his limited domestic career as yet but there is a lot of belief in the young man’s talent. The trust was vindicated when he managed to hold his own during the tour of India in late 2019. Bowling against a formidable Indian batting line-up, Aminul was able to contain as well as pick up vital wickets for his side. Even though Bangladesh lost the series, he was among the shining lights of the series. Aminul is also a handy batsman in the lower middle order, if his List A stats are anything to go by. However, his batting approach is more that of a grafter than a hitter and hence, cannot be relied upon to score quick runs. Safe to say that his batting is a work in progress, at least his hitting skills definitely are.

In September 2019, Aminul Islam Biplob received his maiden call up for national team, when he was added to the squad for last two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series. He made his T20I debut for Bangladesh, against Zimbabwe, on 18 September 2019.In November 2019, Aminul was named in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. In February 2021, he was selected in the Bangladesh Emerging squad for their home series against the Ireland Wolves. In September 2021, he was named as one of two reserve players in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. However, on 10 October 2021, he withdrew himself from the squad and returned home.Aminul is a fine fielder and a very street-smart bowler, so if he can work more on his batting, he could be an asset in the shorter formats.
