Mohammad Jahurul Islam Omi  born 12 December 1986 is a Bangladeshi international cricketer. He played Test, One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket for Bangladesh between 2010 and 2013.

A right-handed batsman and wicketkeeper,He made his debut against England at Dhaka in 2010 but was dismissed for a duck. He fared better in the second knock though scoring 43. He followed it up with his best score of 46 at Lord’s in the return tour. Having been dropped after the England tour in 2010, Jahurul was called back for the Sri Lankan tour in 2013. He was dropped after a string of poor performances in both Tests and ODIs. He played his last Test in March 2013 against Zimbabwe. He is yet to score a fifty even after playing 7 Tests. Jahurul Islam was drafted into the Bangladesh Test squad during the home series against England in 2010 following Raqibul Hasan’s shock retirement. A national call-up was anyway on the cards, after he topped the overall run charts in the first-class National Cricket League with 965 runs at 68.92 for Rajshahi Division and helped them to the 2009-10 title. In his Test debut in Mirpur, he began inauspiciously with a duck but followed it up with 43. Jahurul entered the first-class scene in 2002-03 and was once a part of the Bangladesh Academy.

The call-up though was well on the cards for a player who had scored a total of 965 runs at a very healthy average of 68.92 in the National cricket League. Jahurul is also a product of the National Academy. Islam played for Duronto Rajshahi in the Bangladesh Premier League. He was bought for $111,000 in the 2013 auctions. The team qualified to the knock-out stages but eventually lost to Khulna Royal Bengal. He was the leading run-scorer for Abahani Limited in the 2018–19 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League tournament, with 735 runs in 16 matches.
